Long Lake Ski Area
Nov to May, 9 downhill ski runs, licensed lounge,rental and
repair shop, lockers and change rooms, supervision by
Canadian Ski Patrol, 5 1/2 miles east of Newbrook on SR 661,
and 7 miles north on SR 831. Snowmaking project is complete

One artificial ice arena in Thorhild, two natural ice
arenas in Radway and Newbrook
Open year-round, 220 sites, tap water, public phone, change
house, beach, showers, winter and summer fishing, group
camping, laundry facilities, children's playground, boat launch,
boat rentals, swimming hiking, groceries, winter camping, 20 km from Boyle on SR 831.
Situated 29 km north of Bon Accord, that is north on Lily Lake
Road and then just east 3 km. From Thorhild go 14 km west on
Highway 18 then 10 km south. The Park is operated and managed
by volunteers of the Half Moon Lake Community Association and
is open to overnight camping. It has 12 stalls, numerous tenting
sites and day use area with a children's playground. Firewood is
available for a fee. There is a beautiful beach with docks and
swimming area. The park's facilities include change rooms with
running water. Come visit this area's best kept secret and
enchanting park on the serene Half Moon Lake. For further

Hamlet of Thorhild, 8 camping stalls, day use area, cook shack.
The Newbrook Observatory is a museum and interpretive centre
rehabilitated to interpret the history of science of meteorites and
the significance of the photographing of Sputnik 1 on October 9, 1957.
Interpretation will focus on historical astronomy, cultural astronomy,
region astronomy and celestial phenomenon as evidenced by meteorites.
Located in the Hamlet of Newbrook.Newbrook Fair Days is held
annually on the last weekend of June. Activities include a pancake
breakfast, parade, slowpitch tournament, games and activities for
children, bingo, beach show, beer gardens, steak supper and a dance.

The Thorhild Rodeo is held annually on July 1-2. Activities include a
pancake breakfast, parade, rodeo, chuckwagon and chariot races, car
demolition, beer gardens, steak supper and a dance.
Radway Pioneer Days is held annually on the last weekend of July in
Radway. Activities are announced prior to the event.
The Thorhild Sunflower Contest is held annually and is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th.
